General Notes
Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B06-1G9, recognizes CCL13, a member of the CC family of cytokines. CCL13, also known as MCP-4, is a 98 amino acid (aa) precursor protein which contains a 23 aa hydrophobic signal peptide that is cleaved to the mature form of the protein which is 75aa protein (8kDa). CCL13 is a chemoattractant for various cells including monocytes, T cells, immature dendritic cells and eosinophils (Entiquez & Garcia-Zepeda 2013). It has also been associated with various inflammatory diseases including asthma, arthritis, atherosclerosis and multiple sclerosis (Procaccini et al. 2015). CCL13 can bind to several chemokine receptors (CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3) to elicit chemoattractant responses. It is also known to induce degranulation of eosinophils and the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This purified Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B06-1G9 (MCA6176GA) can be used as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL13 antibody, clone B16-3D8 (MCA6177B) as the detection antibody.
