Name
Anti-CD41 Antibody [HIP8]
Description
Mouse monoclonal [HIP8] antibody to CD41.
Specificity
This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope on alpha (a) subunit of CD41 (heavy chain, 120 kDa). CD41 is mainly expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. This antibody blocks platelet aggregation and completely inhibits ADP-, epinephrine-, and collagen-induced platelet activation, and partially inhibits ristocetin- and thrombin-induced platelet activation. This antibody is useful in the morphological and physiological studies of platelets and megakaryocytes.
