Principio di kit
Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled / PI Apoptosis Detection kit contains Annexin V labeled with a proprietary green fluorescent dye, which allows the identification and quantitation of apoptotic cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. Simultaneous staining of cells with Annexin Fluorescent-488 and propidium iodide (PI) allows the discrimination of intact cells, early apoptotic and late apoptotic or necrotic cells. Superior to FITC as it is brighter, not affected by pH, and has much better photostability.

HeLa cells were induced with camptothecin for 24 hours and stained using Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled / PI Apoptosis Detection kit (A319604). The cell is a late stage apoptotic/necrotic cell with both Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled and PI staining (green membrane with red fragmented nucleus).

HeLa cells were induced with camptothecin for 24 hours and then stained using Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled / PI Apoptosis Detection kit (A319604). The combination of Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled and propidium iodide allows for the distinction between early apoptotic cells (Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled), late apoptotic and/or necrotic cells (Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled and propidium iodide positive), and viable cells (unstained).

HeLa cells were induced with camptothecin of 4 different concentrations (0, 1:8,000, 1:4,000, 1:2,000, and 1:1,000)) for 24 hours and stained using Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled / PI Apoptosis Detection kit (A319604). The combination of Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled and propidium iodide allows for the distinction between early apoptotic cells (Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled positive), late apoptotic and/or necrotic cells (Annexin Fluorescent Dye 488 Labelled and propidium iodide positive), and viable cells (unstained).
