Mouse monoclonal [PIK3R2/1293] antibody to PI 3 Kinase p85 beta.

Spécificité

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI 3-kinase) is composed of p85 and p110 subunits. p85 lacks PI 3-kinase activity and acts as an adapter, coupling p110 to activated protein tyrosine kinase. Two forms of p85 have been described (p85Î± and p85Î²), each possessing one SH3 and two SH2 domains. Various p110 isoforms have been identified. p110Î± and p110Î² interact with p85Î±, and p110Î± has also been shown to interact with p85Î² in vitro. p110 L expression is restricted to white blood cells. It has been shown to bind p85Î± and p85Î², but it apparently does not phosphorylate these subunits. p110 L seems to have the capacity to autophosphorylate. p110Î³ does not interact with the p85 subunits. It has been shown to be activated by Î± and Î²Î³ heterotrimeric G proteins.

Analysis of protein array containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using Anti-PI 3 Kinase p85 beta Antibody [PIK3R2/1293]. Z-Score and S- Score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that a monoclonal antibody (MAb) (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary antibody) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt^TM array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If targets on HuProt^TM are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-score. S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of a MAb to its intended target; a MAb is considered to be specific to its intended target, if the MAb has an S-score of at least 2.5. For example, if a MAb binds to protein X with a Z-score of 43 and to protein Y with a Z-score of 14, then the S-score for the binding of that MAb to protein X is equal to 29.
