SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells were stained with Anti-Nestin Antibody (1:5,000 | red) and Anti-Vimentin (A85421 | 1:10,000 | green). Vimentin is main partner of nestin forming heterdimers and further polymerizing to form intermediate filaments. Co-localization of vimentin and nestin in cells was shown in yellow. Blue is DAPI staining of DNA.
Immunofluorescent analysis of SH-SY5Y cell culture stained with Anti-Nestin Antibody (A85294), at a dilution of 1:3,000, in green, and co-stained with Anti-Actin Antibody (A85388), at a dilution of 1:500, in red. Blue is Hoechst staining of nuclear DNA. The Anti-Nestin Antibody (A85294) produces strong staining in the cytoplasm in clearly filamentous fashion, while the Anti-Actin Antibody (A85388) stains the submembranous actin-rich cytoskeleton, stress fibers and bundles of actin associated with cell adhesion sites.
Figure 3: Western Blot - Anti-Nestin Antibody (A85294)
Western blot analysis of different cell lysates using Anti-Nestin Antibody (A85294), at a dilution of 1:3,000, in green. The lanes contain samples of: [1] Protein standards, [2] rat cortical neuron-glial cell culture, and [3] SH-SY5Y cells. The high molecular weight band corresponds to nestin protein, detected only in human cells by Anti-Nestin Antibody (A85294).
