This antibody recognises endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). Endothelial NOS catalyses the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO), a signaling molecule and vasodilator, in the vascular endothelium. In addition to its role as a vasodilator, NO has important anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative and anti-thrombotic properties.
