Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325)

Immunofluorescent analysis of rat cerebellum section stained with Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325), at a dilution of 1:5,000, in red, and co-stained with Anti-Calbindin Antibody [4H7] (A85360), at a dilution of 1:1,000, in green. Following transcardial perfusion of rat with 4% paraformaldehyde, brain was post fixed for 24 hours, cut to 45µM, and free-floating sections were stained with the above antibodies. Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325) stains interneurons predominantly in the molecular layer, while the Anti-Calbindin Antibody [4H7] (A85360) strongly labels the dendrites and perikarya of Purkinje cells in the molecular layer of the cerebellum.

Western blot analysis of different tissue lysates probed with Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325), at a dilution of 1:10,000, in green. The lanes contain: [Lane 1] protein standard (red), [Lane 2] rat brain, [Lane 3] rat spinal cord, [Lane 4] mouse brain, [Lane 5] mouse spinal cord, and [Lane 6] cow spinal cord. A band at 29kDa corresponds to Calretinin protein.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of a NBF fixed paraffin embedded human brain cortex section with Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325) at a dilution of 1:5,000 detected with DAB (brown) using the Vector Labs ImmPRESS method and reagents with citra buffer retrieval. Counterstained with Hematoxylin (blue). The Anti-Calretinin Antibody (A104325) strongly labels the cytoplasm and nuclei of GABAergic interneurons in the cortex. Note: this antibody performs well in testing with 4% PFA and standard NBF fixed mouse, rat, and human tissue.
