Specificity
This antibody recognises Enterovirus 71. Enterovirus 71 was first isolated in 1969, and causes potentially fatal disease. Symptoms of infection range from dermatological rash to more serious meningitis and encephalitis. Enterovirus 71 has known localizations of spinal cord and medulla. Mouse Anti Enterovirus 71 antibody clone 422-8D-4C-4D (10F0) will also recognize Coxsackie A16.
