This antibody recognises mouse monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1), also known as CCL2, Small-inducible cytokine A2 or Platelet-derived growth factor-inducible protein JE. Mouse MCP-1 is a 148 amino acid ~16 kDa secreted monocyte chemotactic factorThe chemokine MCP-1 is expressed by a range of cells including monocytes, vascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells, glomerular mesangial cells and osteoblasts.MCP-1 plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages.
Reconstitute with 0.1 ml of distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Gently mix after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended. For functional studies do not add sodium azide
Formulation
Supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline.
Storage
Lyophilized: Store at -20°C. Reconstituted: Store undiluted at -20°C, avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
