Name
Anti-CD79b Antibody [AT105-1] (FITC)
Description
Mouse monoclonal [AT105-1] antibody to CD79b (FITC).
Specificity
This antibody recognises an extracellular region of human B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain, also known as CD79b, B-cell-specific glycoprotein B29, Ig-beta or, Immunoglobulin-associated B29. CD79b is a cell surface antigen expressed by B lymphocytes and associates with CD79a to form a heterodimer, non-covalently linked to surface immunoglobulin, forming the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex.Mutations in the CD79B gene can lead to presentation of Agammaglobulinemia 6, autosomal recessive (AGM6), a disease demonstrating low or absent circulating B cells with the concomitant absence of antibody production. Patients present with multiple severe infections early in life.
