Specificity
This antibody recognises STAT5A, also known as when phosphorylated at serine 780. STAT5A is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. Members of the STAT family reside in the cytosol until acitvated. Upon activation STATs dimerize and translocate to the nucleus where they exert their transcriptional effects. Serine residue 780 is located in the transcriptional activation domain of STAT5A.
