This antibody recognises PTPN11 also known as tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 11, PTP2C or SHPTP2. PTPN11 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPN11 contains two Src homology-2 domains which bind phospho-tyrosine domains. PTPs regulate numerous cellular functions including cell proliferation and oncogenic transformation.
