Mouse monoclonal [2D7/3] antibody to Serotonin Transporter.
Specificity
This antibody recognises the serotonin transporter, also known as Sodium-dependent serotonin transporter, 5HT transporter or Solute carrier family 6 member 4. Serotonin transporter is a 630 amino acid ~70 kDa multiple pass endosomal membrane protein. Serotonin transporter is involved in the transport of serotonin molecules from the synaptic cleft back into the pre-synaptic terminal for re-utilization and in regulating availability of serotonin to receptors of the serotonergic system.
