Mouse monoclonal [0531] antibody to Rotavirus.

This antibody recognises intact rotavirus strains RRV, Wa and bovine, and specifically stains an epitope within the intermediate capsid protein VP6. Also known as the group antigen, it is the most immunogenic of the capsid proteins. Rotavirus is a member of the Reoviridae family, and is the leading cause of severe gastroenteritis in children worldwide. Seven major groups have been identified, of which three (groups A, B, and C) infect humans. Group A is the most common and widespread.
