Rabbit polyclonal antibody to PF4.

This antibody recognises platelet factor-4 (PF-4), otherwise known as CXCL4, a member of the intercrine alpha (chemokine CXC) family, released from the alpha granules of activated platelets, during platelet aggregation.PF-4 binds with high affinity to heparin, counteracting its’ anticoagulant effect, thereby promoting blood coagulation, and implicating PF-4 in wound repair. PF-4 acts as a chemotactic factor for neutrophils, monocytes and fibroblasts, and binds wih CXCR3B, a splice variant of the chemokine receptor CXCR3.

1 mg/ml after reconstitution.

Reconstitute with 0.1 ml of distilled water. Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Gently mix after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended. For functional studies do not add sodium azide

Lyophilized: Store at -20°C. Reconstituted: Store undiluted at -20°C, avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
