Immunofluorescent analysis of mixed cortical neuron-glial cell culture from E20 rat stained with Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285), at a dilution of 1:500, in red, and co-stained with Anti-GFAP Antibody (A85307), at a dilution of 1:5,000 in green. The nuclear DNA is visualised in blue using Hoechst staining. Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285) labels protein expressed in neuronal cells, while the Anti-GFAP Antibody (A85307) stains intermediate filaments in astrocytic and certain other glial cells.
Western blot analysis of different tissue and cell lysates using Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285), at a dilution of 1:5,000, in green. The lanes contain: [Lane 1] protein standards (red), [Lane 2] rat brain, [Lane 3] rat spinal cord, [Lane 4] mouse brain, [Lane 5] mouse spinal cord, [Lane 6] NIH-3T3 cells, [Lane 7] HEK293 cells, [Lane 8] HeLa cells, [Lane 9] SH-SY5Y cells, and [Lane 10] C6 cells. A single band at about 47 kDa corresponds to the NSE protein, seen only in extracts containing neurons or neuronal lineage cells.
Western blot analysis of rat spinal cord using Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285). The antibody stains a single sharp band at ~47 kDa corresponding to the NSE protein.
Immunohistochemistry analysis of a formalin fixed paraffin embedded mouse hippocampus section with Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285) at a dilution of 1:1,000 detected with DAB (brown) using the Vector Labs ImmPRESS method and reagents with citra buffer retrieval. The Anti-NSE Antibody (A85285) labels the cytoplasm of most neurons (but not Purkinje cells). Note: this antibody performs well in testing with both 4% PFA and standard NBF fixed rat, mouse, and human tissues.
