Immunofluorescent analysis of rat embryonic (E18) brain stained with Anti-Nestin Antibody (A104326), at a dilution of 1:2,000, in red. Blue is Hoechst staining of nuclear DNA. Anti-Nestin Antibody (A104326) produces strong staining of the developing radial glia and astrocytes and their processes.

Western blot analysis analysis of tissue and cell lysates using Anti-Nestin Antibody (A104326), at a dilution of 1:5,000, in green. The lanes contain: [Lane 1] protein standard, [Lane 2] embryonic day 18 rat brain, [Lane 3] rat cortical neuron-glial cell culture, [Lane 4] C6 cells, and [Lane 5] SH-SY5Y cells. The high molecular weight bands correspond to Nestin protein.

Counterstained with Hematoxylin (blue). Anti-Nestin Antibody (A104326) is highly expressed in endothelial cells, but is not detected in neuronal or glial cells of the mature brain.
