Specificity
This antibody recognises the 16 kDa antigen of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium bovis. M. tuberculosis is the common causative agent of tuberculosis in humans. M. bovis is a closely related species which causes tuberculosis in cattle.
