This antibody recognises IRF8, also known as interferon regulatory factor 8, interferon consensus sequence-binding protein and ICSBP. IRF8 is a member of the interferon regulatory factor (IRF) family of transcription factors. IRF family proteins bind to the specific sequnce known as interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE).
