General Notes
Bovine insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) is also known as somatomedin C, a 17.07 kDa growth factor belonging to the insulin family. IGF-I is produced by the liver in response to stimulus from growth hormone. IGF-I regulates cell growth and development in a wide range of tissues and organs.
