Rabbit polyclonal antibody to CaMKII alpha (phospho Thr286).
Specificity
This antibody recognises calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit alpha (CaMK II alpha) also known as CaM kinase II subunit alpha, when phosphorylated at threonine 286. CaMK II alpha is a member of the CAMK serine/threonine protein kinase family involved in the central nervous system, neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity.CaMK II alpha is activated upon binding of calcium/calmodulin, resulting in autophosphorylation at threonine 286.
