This antibody recognises the small cationic neurotransmitter acetylcholine, involved in the transmission of nerve impulses across synapses. The structure of acetylcholine is preserved across the animal kingdom and the Rabbit anti acetylcholine is expected to recognize acetylcholine from all species posessing this neurotransmitter.
